SUMMER RESIDENCY HIGHLIGHTS

The summer was a deep dive into many-spleandored creative material that I plan on revisiting and shape-shifting this fall/winter. Solo explorations, duet experimentations, audience participations…and then several Chanson-O-Gramme commissions. Songs abound encore! The sings the thing!

July found me at the Baby Grand exploring comedic material through theremin'ing and character building (Bernadette the Catmedian came out for her first stand-up/sit-down set - the small studio audience generous indeed). Experimenting with the theremin opened a whole can of delightful whoopass as I jammed with my past self via my high school band Wild Girl Soup's Lofi recordings. For more details of this chapter follow my @kllmuir instagram to see a full post - what I got up to, and some of the collaborators who came in to play, document and teach. A much richer 4-days than I could ever have anticipated. Many thanks to the team at The Grand Theatre for accommodating me - especially Jenny who also joined in for the final artist talk-presentation-happening where invitees got to send messages through Thereminpost!

August found me on Toronto Island for a brief stint at Gibraltar Point Arts. Unfortunately due to allergens within the interior I was unable to stay for the full week but had a few very fruitful days outside enjoying the beach, playing songwriting games with Laura Barrett whom I will be collaborating with on an album in the near future. OUI!
