Once upon a time in 2007 while on a very ramshackle tour of Leave Alight I retraced steps and found the candy store - SWEETIES - in a neighbouring small town that my family frequented in 1984 while on sabbatical in Amherst. I'm still on the road to recovery from sugar addiction (read "Sugar Blues" for an interesting look into the refined sugar industry and impact on health anecdotally and otherwise...) replacing the hard stuff with maple syrup and honey and easing up on the gluc-fruc-continuum.
