Happy Robbie Burns Day! There's nothing like a spot of poetry and song to bring some joy to a wintery grey day. This here Muir (eventually I'll visit the land of my forefamily - trobairitz once more!) has been been writing "Chanson-O-Grammes" - custom song commissions - for over eleven years!

Odes to family members, crushes, spirits, partners, pets...you share your story and I'll shape your song. I've even written odes to local businesses and, on one occasion, a thank-you song to the entire staff of a non-profit. The possibilities are infinite!

Song mood, mode and length vary as each is completely unique. Genres to date include folk chanson, pop, electro, surf, rock, bossanova, jazz ballad and bluegrass but I'm adaptable and love experimenting with new sounds and my instrument trove. I've be requested to record as Lederhosen Lucil (she's usually game!) and have been asked to incorporate Elvish, Estonian and learn the technical language of slow pitch baseball.

2024 rates are $150 for a 1-minute classic ode and $300+ for a 2+ minute fully orchestrated song. Prices are in Canadian dollars ($111 USD / $102 Euro) via Paypal or Etransfer (preferred method so more goes to the artist - no fees!)
